UMI Performance 82-92 GM F-Body K-member LSX Engines Coil Overs - Red

This is the UMI Performance tubular K-member, specifically designed for 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird models. It's built to accommodate LSX engines and coil-over suspension setups, offering a strong foundation for your F-body's front end. If you're swapping an LS engine into your classic Camaro or Firebird, or upgrading to a coil-over system, this K-member is a key component to get everything positioned correctly.

UMI built this K-member around the LS1 oil pan, and it also works well with the Holley 302 oil pan, though other oil pans might not clear. The tubular construction makes it lighter than the factory K-member, which can help improve handling. It also includes LSX motor mount stands, but if you're using a traditional Small Block Chevy (SBC) engine, you can simply leave those stands uninstalled. The red powdercoat finish adds a nice touch to the engine bay.

Keep in mind that if you plan to retain factory low-mounted A/C, you'll need to relocate it. UMI recommends an A/C relocation kit for this setup. This K-member is a solid choice for anyone serious about an LS swap or a front suspension overhaul on their 82-92 F-body.
