UMI Performance 82-92 GM F-Body Tubular K-member Coil Over

When you're looking to shave weight off the front end of your 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird, this tubular K-member from UMI Performance is a solid option. It's designed as a direct bolt-in replacement for your factory K-member, and it instantly removes about 20 pounds from the front of your car. This weight reduction means your existing horsepower works more effectively, and the dual tube construction is built to handle street driving, drag strip runs, and autocross events.

This K-member is fabricated from strong 3/16” thick mild steel, with CNC machined mounting pads for factory and aftermarket engine mounts, as well as boxed mounting points for suspension components. The tubular design also offers improved clearance for aftermarket exhaust systems. It comes ready for coil-over shock setups, but you can convert it to use stock-style springs and struts by purchasing UMI's spring perch kit. It's MIG and TIG welded for a clean look and strong joints, and it's jig-built to ensure a hassle-free installation. You can also adapt it for an LSX engine with the correct motor mount adapters.

This K-member includes six new Grade 10.9 mounting bolts and is available in a durable red or black powdercoat finish. It's manufactured in Philipsburg, PA, USA. Keep in mind that if you plan to run factory low-mounted A/C with an LS engine, you'll need to relocate it using an appropriate kit.
