UMI Performance 93-02 GM F-Body K-member- No Motor Mounts

This is the UMI Performance K-member for your 1993-2002 GM F-Body, including the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird. This part replaces your factory K-member, offering a stronger, lighter foundation for your engine and front suspension. It's designed to work with motor plates and doesn't include motor mount stands, making it ideal for custom engine setups. The K-member is crucial for supporting your engine, steering rack, and front suspension components, and this upgraded version offers notable improvements over the original.

Constructed from tough 1.500” x 0.120” DOM seamless steel tubing for the main center section and 1.250” x 0.120” DOM tubing for cross braces, this K-member is built for strength. Both TIG and MIG welding are used to ensure superior structural integrity. The front and rear A-arm mounts are CNC machined from 0.188" thick steel and gusseted for extreme loads, while the mounting plates are also CNC machined for precise hole-to-hole accuracy, ensuring a factory fitment without needing grinding or cutting. This design is 30lbs lighter than the stock K-member, which helps reduce front-end weight. It also provides extra clearance for headers and turbo piping, and the A-arm slots are lengthened by a half-inch for more adjustment. The rear main cross tube is lowered to offer better oil pan protection.

This K-member comes with factory locator pins for an easy and exact installation. It includes mounts for the power steering rack, compatible with factory power steering or manual racks that use the factory power steering mounts. You can order it bare metal or choose a durable powder-coated finish in red or black for an additional cost. This part is designed to be used with motor plates, so remember that motor mount stands are not included.
