UMI Performance 93-02 GM F-Body K-Member SBC/BBC Motor Mounts - Road Race

If you're building a 1993-2002 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird for serious road racing, you need a K-member that can handle the abuse. This UMI Performance road race K-member is specifically designed to withstand the extreme stresses that come with track use, offering improved strength and durability over standard street versions. It allows for the installation of traditional Chevrolet small block or big block engines, making it a key component for engine swaps or performance builds.

Constructed from strong DOM seamless steel tubing, with a 1.500” x 0.120” main center tube and 1.250” x 0.120” cross braces, this K-member is built for resilience. Both TIG and MIG welding are used throughout for superior strength, and the dual tube center section adds even more rigidity. The A-arm mounts are CNC machined from thick steel and gusseted to handle extreme side loads. This design not only increases strength but also provides additional clearance for headers and turbo piping, and the lengthened A-arm slots offer more adjustment. It also features a lowered rear main cross tube for better oil pan protection.

This K-member comes with integrated polyurethane motor mounts and fabricated mounting clam shells, contributing to significant front-end weight savings of about 25 lbs compared to the factory setup. All mounting plates are CNC machined for precise hole-to-hole accuracy, and factory locator pins are included to ensure an exact, direct bolt-in fitment without the need for grinding or cutting. Standard power steering rack mounts are also included, and it's finished in a durable powder coat, available in bright red or gloss black. While it facilitates engine installation, be aware that some modifications to the firewall or other areas might be necessary for optimal engine clearance.
