UMI Performance 93-02 GM F-Body K-Member SBC/BBC Motor Mounts

UMI Performance is known for making well-built suspension and chassis components for American muscle cars. If you're looking to swap a traditional small block or big block Chevrolet engine into your 1993-2002 Camaro or Firebird, this tubular K-member is a solid option. It's designed to make that engine installation more straightforward while also shedding some weight from the front of your car.

This K-member is constructed from strong DOM seamless steel tubing, with a 1.500” x 0.120” main center tube and 1.250” x 0.120” cross braces. Both TIG and MIG welding are used throughout for added strength. The front and rear A-arm mounts are CNC machined from 0.188” thick steel and the rear mounts are gusseted to handle serious side loads. UMI uses a dual tube center section, which they say adds more strength than other designs, and all mounting plates are CNC machined for precise hole-to-hole accuracy. It even includes factory locator pins to help ensure it fits right the first time, and it's fixture welded to match factory mounting points, meaning no grinding or cutting should be needed. You'll also find standard power steering rack mounts included, and the A-arm slots are lengthened a half-inch over stock for more adjustment. The rear main cross tube is lowered to offer better oil pan protection, and the integrated polyurethane motor mounts help save weight.

This K-member is a direct bolt-in application and automatically reduces about 25 pounds from the front end. It also offers more clearance for headers and turbo piping. Keep in mind that while this K-member makes installing a Chevy V8 easier, some modifications to the firewall or other areas might still be necessary for proper engine clearance. It comes with a durable powder coat finish, available in bright red or gloss black.
