UMI Performance 93-97 GM F-Body K-Member - LT1

If you're looking to shed some weight from the front of your 1993-1997 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird, this K-member from UMI Performance is a solid choice. It's designed to directly replace your factory K-member, and in doing so, it takes off about 25 pounds. Less weight up front means your existing horsepower works more effectively, and it can even help improve your car's weight distribution for better launches and handling.

UMI builds this K-member using 1-1/2 inch OD DOM steel tubing for the main cross tubes and 3/16 inch thick steel plate for the boxed A-arm mounts. The factory motor mount stands are made from thick 1/4 inch steel and are laser cut for precision. This tubular design also gives you more clearance for aftermarket headers and exhaust systems. The A-arm mounting points have been lengthened to allow for more alignment adjustment than the stock setup, and the main cross tube is lowered to offer better protection for your oil pan. This part is fabricated entirely in-house using US steel and is available in a durable gloss red or gloss black powder coat finish.

This K-member is built to handle everything from daily driving to serious track use, including drag racing and autocross. It's been proven in high-horsepower drag cars and is a popular upgrade for many GM F-body owners. You can combine it with UMI's tubular lower A-arms to save an additional 8 pounds, for a total front-end weight reduction of 33 pounds.
