UMI Performance 93-97 GM F-Body Manual / Torque Arm Relocation Kit

The stock torque arm mount on your 1993-1997 GM F-Body Camaro or Firebird is designed for daily driving, but it can struggle with the stress of hard launches. This UMI Performance torque arm relocation kit addresses that by moving the torque arm's front mounting point off the transmission tail shaft and onto a new, stronger crossmember. This setup is built using 0.188” mild steel mounting plates and rectangular mild steel tubing, with a 0.250” thick mild steel mount machined for a clam shell attachment. It's designed to bolt directly into the factory location, meaning no cutting, drilling, or welding is required for installation.

By relocating the torque arm, you're protecting your transmission's tail shaft from the abuse of aggressive driving and launches. This kit replaces your stock transmission crossmember with a reinforced unit that includes the integrated torque arm mount. In most cases, this new crossmember is actually lighter than the original while providing significantly improved structural strength. It's designed to tuck up tight against the chassis, so you won't lose any ground clearance. This kit works with virtually any stock-style aftermarket torque arm, as well as the factory torque arm.
