UMI Performance 93-97 GM F-Body Torque Arm Relocation Kit- TH350

If you're putting a TH350 automatic transmission into your 1993-1997 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird, this torque arm relocation kit from UMI Performance makes the job much simpler. It replaces your stock crossmember with a new unit that has the correct mounting points for the TH350 transmission and also integrates a mount for your factory-style torque arm. This means you don't need to buy separate brackets for the torque arm, and it works with most aftermarket torque arms that bolt in the stock location.

This kit is built from strong DOM mild steel tubing with thick 0.188-inch mounting plates and a 0.250-inch thick steel torque arm mount. The mount itself features a new clam shell design for securely attaching the torque arm. A neat feature is the instant center adjustment, which you can change by moving the front of the torque arm up or down. Importantly, this crossmember tucks up tight to the chassis, so it won't reduce your ground clearance, and in many cases, it's lighter than the original part while being structurally stronger. It's a 100% bolt-in installation, using existing holes with no drilling, cutting, or welding required.

Keep in mind that this kit requires a solid one-piece polyurethane bushing for the torque arm mount, as it won't work with the factory two-piece design. If you're using the stock torque arm, you'll need to purchase an aftermarket polyurethane bushing separately (UMI part #3004 is available). This setup is designed to be a direct fit, simplifying a common transmission swap.
