This UMI Performance K-member is designed for 1993-2002 Chevrolet Camaros and Pontiac Firebirds, specifically for those looking to improve handling on the track. It's a key part of UMI's Corner Max system, built to make your F-body handle better. You'll get the K-member itself, which is fabricated from 100% US Steel right here in-house, and it comes finished in a durable UMI red powder coat. This component is race-proven, having been used in UMI Performance's own '99 Camaro.

What sets this K-member apart is its dual tube construction, which UMI states is the strongest tubular K-member available. It also features revised geometry that raises the roll center height, improving how the car handles weight transfer during cornering. This improved roll center distribution is especially beneficial for road racing and autocross. For optimal performance with this K-member, UMI recommends their 2309 or 2314 lower A-arms, as the revised geometry requires specific A-arm mounts. It also includes an anti-slide retention system to keep alignment steady under stress. You'll also notice a weight reduction of about 25 lbs compared to the factory K-member, which always helps with performance.

Installation of this K-member will require specific engine mounts. You can use UMI's 2323 or 2328 engine mounts, or the factory 1998-2002 GM LS1 engine mount (part number 22179268).
