UMI Performance 98-02 GM F-Body Manual / Torque Arm Relocation Kit

This UMI Performance torque arm relocation kit is designed to protect your transmission's tail shaft, especially if you're putting down serious power or doing hard launches. What you get in this kit is a new, stronger transmission cross member that includes a built-in mount for the torque arm. This setup effectively moves the torque arm's front mounting point away from the transmission tail shaft, which is a common failure point on stock setups during aggressive driving. It's a 100% bolt-in part, using your vehicle's existing holes, so no drilling, cutting, or welding is needed.

The kit is constructed from strong rectangular mild steel tubing with 0.188-inch thick mounting plates and a 0.250-inch thick machined steel mount for the torque arm itself. It's designed to tuck up tight against the chassis, so you won't lose any ground clearance, and in many cases, it's actually lighter than the stock cross member while being much more robust. This relocation kit is built to work with most stock-style aftermarket torque arms and the factory torque arm, though it requires a solid one-piece polyurethane bushing, not the factory two-piece design. If you're using the stock torque arm, you'll need to pick up an aftermarket polyurethane bushing separately.
