If you're putting a TH400 automatic transmission into your 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird, this torque arm relocation kit from UMI Performance makes the job much simpler. It's designed to work with the factory-style torque arm, so you don't have to buy a whole new setup. The integrated mount lets you adjust the torque arm's position up or down to get the instant center just right for your car.

This crossmember is built from strong DOM mild steel tubing with 0.188-inch thick mounting plates, and the torque arm mount itself is machined from 0.250-inch thick steel. It uses a new clam shell design to securely attach your torque arm. The best part is that it's a 100% bolt-in installation, using your Camaro's existing crossmember holes – no cutting or welding required. It's also designed to tuck up tight against the chassis, so you won't lose any ground clearance.

Keep in mind that this kit requires a solid one-piece polyurethane bushing, not the factory two-piece design. If you're using the stock torque arm, you'll need to pick up an aftermarket polyurethane bushing separately. This kit is designed to work with virtually any torque arm that bolts into the stock location.
