UMI Performance 98-02 GM F-Body Torque Arm Relocation Kit- TH400

If you're swapping a TH400 automatic transmission into your 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird, this torque arm relocation kit from UMI Performance is designed to simplify the process. It integrates a crossmember with a torque arm mount, providing the necessary provisions for the TH400 while still accommodating a factory-style torque arm. This means you won't need to buy separate torque arm brackets, as the built-in mount works with most stock and aftermarket torque arms.

The kit is constructed from strong DOM mild steel tubing and 0.188-inch thick mild steel mounting plates, with the torque arm mount itself machined from 0.250-inch thick steel. The design allows for instant center adjustment by moving the front of the torque arm up or down, and it tucks up tight against the chassis to avoid reducing ground clearance. Importantly, this is a 100% bolt-in installation, utilizing existing holes with no drilling, cutting, or welding required. In many cases, this crossmember is also lighter than the stock unit while offering improved structural strength.

Note that this kit requires a solid one-piece polyurethane bushing, not the factory two-piece design. If you're using the stock torque arm, you'll need to purchase an aftermarket polyurethane bushing separately (UMI Part #3004). This kit is designed to work with any torque arm that bolts into the stock location.
