This design helps provide up to 150 retarding horsepower throughout the engine's RPM range, not just at high RPM. The rugged cast-iron housing incorporates BD's exclusive AlumiBronze bushing and a positive sealing piston ring, designed to resist carbon and rust buildup for a leak-free operation. The included air compressor is robust enough for other applications like air horns or airbags, and the stainless steel butterfly shaft and mounting hardware resist corrosion in harsh exhaust environments.
