When you're looking to upgrade your 1991-1993 Dodge W250's drivetrain, this BD Diesel transmission is a solid choice. What you get in this package is a fully rebuilt transmission assembly, complete with a heavy-duty aluminum pan that adds an extra quart of oil capacity and helps dissipate heat. It also includes BD Diesel's auxiliary full-flow filter kit for added protection against contaminants. This transmission is designed to significantly increase the durability of your drivetrain, especially if you've modified your engine or plan to tow heavier loads.

BD Diesel has gone through this transmission to make it much stronger than stock. They've replaced stock thrust washers with roller bearings to reduce friction and save your governor solenoids. The valve body has been redesigned, and the manual valve is modified for better lubrication in all gear positions. You'll find stronger internal components, including extra clutches with up to 25% more material than stock, and a high-temperature Raybestos band with a billet strut and anchor. This setup allows the transmission to handle up to 300% more power and torque than the original unit, with pressure increases starting at lower RPMs and lighter throttle inputs, all while maintaining a comfortable shift feel. The 47RE components have been upgraded with more rugged 48RE parts, and new input shafts and hubs are installed.
