If you're looking to significantly increase the durability and torque handling capability of your 2005-2007 Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500, this BD Diesel TorqueMaster transmission is a solid choice. This unit is built around the robust 48RE platform, and it's specifically designed to handle much more power than the stock transmission. It comes ready to go with the BD Tapshifter system, which gives you full electronic control over gear selection, torque converter lock-up, and even a manual gear mode for precise control when you need it. The included billet input shaft is a key upgrade, built to withstand rapid acceleration and high torque loads without flexing or failing.

BD Diesel has gone through this transmission with a fine-tooth comb, replacing stock thrust washers with roller Torrington bearings to reduce friction and save your governor solenoids. They've also drilled the intermediate shaft for better lubrication and modified the manual valve to ensure proper lube in all gear positions. You'll find added heavy-duty clutches, with up to 25% more material than stock, and updated pressure plates for the forward and overdrive components. The direct clutch piston has also been machined for improved performance. This transmission also features a high-temperature Raybestos band, a billet band strut and anchor, and a billet dual-ring accumulator piston for enhanced durability under stress. The revised oil circuits and increased line pressure, starting at lower RPMs and lighter throttle input, ensure firm shifts without shuttle shifting issues, and the included auxiliary full-flow filter kit adds an extra layer of protection for your investment.

This transmission also comes with BD's heavy-duty aluminum pan, which adds extra oil capacity and features heat-dissipating fins to help keep temperatures down. A magnetic drain plug is included to catch any stray metal particles. This BD Diesel TorqueMaster transmission is tested on a dyno before it leaves the shop, ensuring it's ready to perform.
