DEI Heat Screen 12in x 24in

When you're working on a vehicle and need to keep heat from getting where it shouldn't, DEI's Heat Screen is a solid option. This 12-inch by 24-inch sheet is designed to reflect radiant heat, helping to protect sensitive components or the vehicle's interior from engine and exhaust temperatures. It's a flexible material that you can trim to fit just about anywhere you need extra heat shielding.

The Heat Screen is made from a fiberglass material with a special aluminized Mylar surface on one side. This surface is what does the heavy lifting, capable of reflecting up to 1200 degrees Fahrenheit of direct heat. It's thin, only about .060 inches thick, so it won't add a lot of bulk. You can use it to shield paint from blistering, keep heat away from fuel tanks when exhaust pipes are nearby, or even place it under carpeting on floorboards. It can be attached using adhesive or fasteners, and it's self-adhesive on one side.

Just remember, this isn't meant to be applied directly to exhaust components themselves, but rather to protect areas around them or other parts of the vehicle from that heat. If you need to seal seams, DEI's Cool Tape is a good companion product.
