This material is designed to solve the problem of engine and exhaust heat getting into your vehicle's interior or other sensitive components. It's made from a metalized polyimide layer bonded to a strong 20oz heat-treated glass fiber base, creating a reflective barrier that can handle serious temperatures.

This heat screen is capable of reflecting direct heat up to 800°F, making it a solid choice for keeping critical parts like air intakes and interiors cooler and protected. In testing, it showed a 36% reduction in temperature. The base glass itself can handle radiant heat up to 1100°F and the material is .031 inches thick. You can attach it using mechanical fasteners or DEI's Hi-Temp Adhesive, but remember not to apply it directly to exhaust components.
