BD Diesel Brake - 2004.5-2005 Dodge 325hp Air/Turbo Mount

When you're descending steep grades with a heavy trailer, controlling your speed without constantly relying on your service brakes is crucial. Overheating your brakes can lead to fade and costly repairs. This BD Diesel exhaust brake is designed to help you manage those situations more effectively on your 2004-2005 Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500.

This turbo-mount exhaust brake installs between your turbo and the exhaust system, utilizing BD's Variable Orifice Technology. It works by creating back pressure in the exhaust, which helps slow the engine down. It's built with a rugged cast-iron housing that incorporates an AlumiBronze bushing and a positive sealing piston ring to resist corrosion and leaks, even in the harsh, high-heat environment of the exhaust system. The stainless steel butterfly valve and shaft further combat corrosion. This system is engineered to provide up to 150 retarding horsepower throughout the engine's RPM range, offering consistent control.

This kit includes the exhaust brake assembly, an air compressor (which can be used for other applications like air horns or airbags), air tubing, a DFIV controller and wiring kit, and a regulator control assembly. For automatic transmissions prior to 2006, you'll also need BD's AutoLoc and PressureLoc kits to optimize torque converter clutch engagement and reduce transmission temperatures. All mounting hardware is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
