ICON's 2.5 Series Vehicle Specific (V.S.) rear shock absorbers are built for 2001 and newer GM HD trucks that have been lifted 6 to 8 inches. These shocks are designed to give your truck outstanding performance when you're off-road, but they also provide a smooth ride on the street. ICON tunes each shock specifically for the intended application, considering both length and damping characteristics to match your truck's setup. This means you get a shock that works with your lift kit, not against it.

What sets these shocks apart is their adjustability and internal design. The piggyback reservoir helps dissipate heat, reducing shock fade during long drives or demanding off-road use. Inside, the one-piece digressive piston works with vehicle-specific valving to offer great control. ICON's internal “Bump Zone” kicks in as the shock nears full compression, adding about 20% more damping force to prevent harsh bottom-outs. Plus, the external CDC Valve lets you dial in 10 levels of compression damping with a simple knob turn, so you can easily adjust the ride for different conditions.

These shocks are constructed with one-piece impact-extruded aluminum cylinders for good corrosion resistance and a consistent finish. The 7/8-inch induction-hardened, chrome-plated shock shaft is strong, and the nitrogen-charged monotube design ensures consistent performance. Everything is CNC machined from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum. These shocks are also 100% rebuildable and revalveable, meaning you can service them to keep them performing like new for years to come. They use premium 5WT shock oil for reliable damping across a wide temperature range.
