ICON 10-14 Ford Raptor Stage 1 Suspension System

ICON's Stage 1 suspension system for the 2010-2014 Ford SVT Raptor centers around their rear Zeta bypass shocks -- a true 3.0-inch (inside and out) three-tube external bypass shock that is fundamentally different from the standard bypass shocks you find on trophy trucks and off-road race vehicles. Each bypass valve has a specific port design and is individually equipped with a different spring rate for proper performance at each zone of shock travel, which gives the Raptor a controlled feel across the full range of suspension motion.

What sets these bypass shocks apart from the competition is the adjustability and serviceability. The Hi Resolution Clicker Knobs adjust without any tools -- you can dial the shocks from a soft, plush off-road setting to a firm on-road feel in seconds. That is practical for a truck like the Raptor that splits time between desert running and highway towing. The bypass valves also feature dampened valve stops for quiet operation, so you do not get the clicking and clunking that cheaper bypass shocks produce over road chatter and small bumps.

Another standout feature is the replaceable bypass tubes. If a bypass tube takes damage from a rock strike or trail debris, you can swap it out during a standard rebuild rather than replacing the entire shock body. On a traditional bypass shock, damage to the bypass passages means replacing the whole unit. The replaceable tube design saves significant cost over the life of the shock.
